Stargirl Discussion Chapters 8-15
Which word do you think best describes Stargirl; observant, empathetic, or Naive? Give specific reasons.

I think observant describes Stargirl the best, I would have said empathetic but I don't think that she has ever needed to collect porcupine ties, or broken her leg on a bike. She knows when everyones birthday is, and when they need help or sympathy. Kaitlin T.-Set 4
I think Stargirl is observant because she knows everyone's names, birthdays and other personal information. She also was observant when Hillari said not to sing TO her (she sang it FOR her instead; not directly TO her) because she was finding a way to keep up with the singing but follow Hillari's orders.
I think that stargirl is more observant than naive and enpathetic because she reacts only and/or mainly to aht she sees than thinking the process through. She, of what I know, looks at the problem amd then she will find a solution. When someone is hurt, she will make them better. She is very kind and compassionate, because she is a good observer. Obsrevant best describes Stargirl because she knows when everybodies birthdays are. She knows all of this diffrent information so that leads me to think that she is a very observant person. -Tanya set5
I think observant becuase somehow she found out abut everyones birthday. I think she gave the porcupine tie to Leo and she probally knew by being observan and reading the news papper article that siad he collects porcupine ties.
I think that the word naieve describes stargirl because she doesn't seem to know anything that most people know because she's grown up differently than most people and she has never gone to a normal school. She doesn't know that most poepl don't go to funerals unless they know the person or they are freinds with the person's family. She doesn't know that her acts of knindness might cause negative affects because it seems like in her house anything "nice" you do can only lead to nice things. SHe is trying to be nice but she doen't she long term-effects. Jordan C Set 4

I think she's observant because she always knows when someones birthday is, or if someone dies/gets hurt. I think it's kind of creepy/weird.
