I agree with her decision about the funeral, i think that the mom should have been happy that people from the community cared about her family's suffering instead of throwing Stargirl out. I am not sure if I agree with the bike gift. I agree with the mindset of trying to make the little kid feel better but I think she should of left it up to the parents as to whether she wanted her son back on a bike so soon. I think then she could have avoided having the bike thrown away. I think that the mindset she has about cheering was very kind, but I also think that when you commit to cheering for Mica High you should stay loyal to your team and cheer for Mica High.
I disagree with her idea about going to the funeral; it would be creepy to know that someone you don't even know is at your funeral. I'm still in-between with the bike gift and cheering style. It would be akward giving some little boy a new bike that you don't even know. But it was a nice and thoughtful thing to do. The cheering is just weird. You shouldn't be cheering for the other team. But I feel that when she did cheer for the other team, the Electrons would win the game.
I do not agree with Stargirl's choice to go to the funeral because the family was not to happy about that. Then she went in their house and they did not know her. I can agree with Stargirl's choice to give the bike because she wanted to make him feel better. I do agree with her cheerleading style because she felt bad for the other teams and wanted to make them feel better. -Tanya set5
Stargirl was right about all of those decisions. The cheering style- sure its differnt but it made people happy and her team was winning. The bike gift was a great idea. It was nice of her to buy this boy a bike. The funeral I also agreed with stargirl's actions because she was sad and she came to the funeral. Deal with it.
I think that Star Girl was being nice about going to the funaral. But when she went to the house I dont think that that was a good choise because if someone came into my house that I did not even know, I would feel offended. I think instead of flipping out like the mom did she should of just asked her to leave politely. When she game the little boy the bike I would of done the same thing the dad did because he did not even know who the bike was from. What if the bike had something wrong with it and that could of hurt the little boy the next time he road it.
I think that it was nice that Satrgirl came to the funeral but the after party may have taken it too far. I think maybe coming to the after party was almost like trespassing in the moms mind. Although The mom didnt really have to flip out like that, she could have just asked Stargirl to leave politely instead of screaming in her face. I think the bike incident was a little ironic since she got the little boy a bike and he was in the hospital because of a bike. But I think Stargirl should have gotten the boy something else that made more sense then a bike since she knew the mom probably wouldnt want the little boy to ride a bike after he had a blood clot from hitting a mailbox on his bike. I also think that the cheering method wasnt such a big deal at all (at least not a big enough deal to waste a tomato on Stargirls face). I think that the tomato was uncalled for and not necessary, if Stargirl was on the other teams side and they were winning someone should throw a tomato at her but the other team was losing horribly and they needed some encouragement to make the game fair. I think what Stargirl did was kind and it didnt matter much. Mike S. set 2
I agree with Stargirls desision at the funeral and I think that the boys mother overreacted. Stargirl did what she did out of kindness and not because she wanted to disgrace the family. When she gave the boy a new bike I thought that she didn't understand everything that happened and I thought that it was rude of the family to despose of it. Stargirl's cheering style is more for the best of everybody than the other cheerleaders than anyone else because the way she wants to cheer is more friendly and possibly open-minded. Nick M. Set 4
I agree with Stargirls choices in going to the funeral but i understand why the girls mother kicked startgirl out. I understand Stargirls choices because she cares for people even if she doesnt know them. I understand why the girls mother kicked Stargirl out because she didnt know her and she was in her house. I agree and disagree with Stargirls actions to buying the bike. I understand her actions by getting the bike because she wanted the little boy to feel better by seeing a new bike. But i also disagree with it because the little boy just came back from a hospital where he probably was in pain because of a bike. I think she shouldent have bought the bike because the little boy might be scared of bikes because he just got hurt on one. I dont really understand Stargirls cheering style because she sort of helped the other team win and her team lose by cheering them on for scoring baskets. I think Stargirl shouldent have kept on cheering for the other team once the people at the school started getting mad at her. .:. Andrew L. set 5 .:.
I don't agree with Stargirl's choice of going to the funeral because she didn't even know the family and just showed up without any warning ot notice. I also don't agree with her choice to give the bike to the little kid because he just got out of the hospital and i doubt his mom would let him back on a bike. It also caused problems in the family as far as confusion and disagreement. I'm not sure about the cheering style though. It wasn't totally wrong of her since she was just trying to be kind as always and show her spirit, but I believe she should be a Mica High cheerleader instead of a universal one.
I disagree with her chice to go to the funeral and then to go to the person's house afterward. She didn't know the person and she wasn't very close with the peron's family. It might have been ok to go to the funeral (It's weird that she was sobbing. Maybe she was being empathetic?)She probobly shouldn't have gone to the person's house. When people are sad they mostly just want to be with close friends and family that understand exaxtly what you are going through.I think she had good intentions with the bike bbut it had bad long-term effects. She probly had good intetions about going to the funeral too. She didn't know that the bike was going to cause problems for the family. She should have thought about that he had just gotten out of the hospital because he got hurt on the bike. For the cheerleading if she was just a fan in the audience she could have cheered for whoever she wanted to. People could say that she should cheer for thier school because she goes there but she didn't have to cheer for anyone impeticular. She is a cheerleader though so she should cheer for her school when she is wearing the cheerleader uniforms with the other cheeleaders at the games because as a cheerleader she is supposed to cheer for her school. She's NOT supposed to leave when they are WINNING!
I agree and disagree with some of stargirls choices. I think in her eyes she sees what shes doing as just being nice. But other people think that mabe shes taking this stuff as a joke. For example, when she went to the funeral she was probably just doing it to be nice and caring. But mabe the mom thought that she was making a joke of it and that she didnt really care. I do agree with her giving the bike to the kid. I think it was very nice of her but she should of asked the parents first. When she was cheering for the other team i disagree but kind of agree with her choice. Cheering for the other team was nice for them but mean towards her own team. ♥Sydney B. ~Set 7~
I think all Stargirl wants is other people to be happy. I think it was a good idea for Stargirl to give the little boy a new bike because he wrecked his own when he got in the accident and I know if that was me and I got home and there was a brand new bike right there waiting for me I would be thrilled. When Stargirl went to the old mans fuenorol I thought it wasn't a great idea because instead of just showing up for the fuenorol on short notice she could of called the familly members and said that she was sorry that they lost a loved one and she wanted to know if she could come to the fuenorol. Is she said that I am sure that they would of let her in and would have been thrilled to have her.
