I think Stargirl would definitely be characterized as a non-conformist/person with strong character. She doesn't care what other people think. She seems to kind of let things go in one ear and out the other when it comes to people making fun of her. She also wears interesting outfits I think her Mom makes for her that no one else wears. I would characterize Leo half way in between conformist and non-conformist. He has thoughts totally against what other people think, like he wants Stargirl to be accepted and feels bad for her, but he doesn't express that on the outside at all. I think that his character and indiviuality are not as strong as they could be. I think Archie is very elusive right now, he definitely excepts Stargirl for who she is which takes some strong character on Archies part. I would characterize Hilary not a conformist, not a non-conformist but one of the people everyone is conforming to. She definitely does not show strength of character very much considering she has to make fun of people to be popular. Kaitlin T.-Set 4
Stargirl- I think Satrgirl would be "Classified" or identified as a nonconformist (In other words I agree with Kaitlin).
Leo- I don;t think Leo is that popular or special. I think he just goes along with the crowd and what people think pf him matters more then what he thinks about himself.
Archie- I think archie keeps to himself what he thinks needs to be kept secret (Teaching Stargirl all that time without telling Leo or Kevin).
Hilari- I think Hilari is the most self-centered person in the book so far because she didnt want Stargirl to sing happy birthday to her because maybe she thought it would ruin her reputation. Mike S. Set 2
I think that Stargirl is definetly unique; she always wears the weird and interesting outfits, and it seems to me that she dosne't really care what people think about her. Hilari definetly likes to be the leader of the school; she wants people to follow her lead, and I think now that Stargirl has come, theres definetly some jealously and tension in the air when Stargirl is around Hilari. Leo is definetly a leader; same with Kevin. They said that they wanted to get into hosting when they get older. Archie is a very wise man, and even though he isn't certified as a teacher in the state of Arizona, he still does.
I think that stargirl is very sef-lacking in her surroundings. She doesn't seem to care what other people think. That would mean that she would be a non-conformist because she doesn't follow the crowd. She just does whatever she wants to. I think that she believes in herself and doesn't care what other people think because she randomly goes up to people and sings a song to them. I feel that Leo is a type of person that compares and contrasts with the world. His opinions of stargirl conflict with each other because he thinks she should, like Kaitlin said, be accepted but he will not show it. When she sang to him he wasn't sure what to do. If he thinks good of her, he should befriend her. Archie seems to know alot about stargirl. His personality is definately different, which makes him relate "oh the more" with stargirl. He is nice, and possibly compassionate. He loves bones. Hilari is mean, selfish and over exaggerated. She thinks she is so cool, and she makes people think they are something they aren't. She is the root of cool in the school, which means she is practicly in control of the popularity.
Stargirl would be classified as a very strong nonconformists and shows alot of indivualality. Leo would be classified as a conformists I think because even though he feels bad for Stargirl and wants to help her he still hasn't said anything ouutside of his mind.I would charecterize Archie as a nonconformists because he axcepts Stargirl for who she is unlike most people at Mica high.Tommy R.
Stargirl is deffinitley a nonconformist. She is totally different than everyone else and is always true to herself no matter what anyone else says. Leo is deffinitley a person with identity problems. He has multiple personalities and he often can't decide what he wants to do. Archie is a nonconformist I would say because he accepts Stargirl when everyone else doesn't. I also think he is very wise and speaks in riddles that people may not understand until they think deeper about it. Hillari is a self-centered, selfish person who wants everyone to be her little followers and do what she thinks is right. She doesn't like how Stargirl came in and stole her thunder.

I think Mike has a point. Leo seems like he cares about what other people think of him more than what he thinks of himself.

I forgot to leave my name on my paragraph. Nick M. wrote it. Sorry!
