Stargirl Discussion Chapters 1-7
You have just encountered Stargirl!!How would you react to Stargirl if you were a student at Mica High? Would you be accepting or skeptical of her? Can you relate to Hilari?

If I saw Stargirl at our school, I don't think I would be as mean as some people there. I wouldn't just pretend she was just normal but I also wouldn't do some of the things other people at Mica High are doing to her. I can definitely relate to Hilary but I think that she was mean and rude to say that. If I say Stargirl in the hall I would definitely say she was out of place, but wouldn't go as far as she isn't real and is a faculty hoax. Kaitlin T.-Set 4
I would be really skeptical of her. I don't think I would want to hang around with her and I can relate to Hillari because I would probably think that the way she was acting would be abnormal and weird. But I also think that the cruel approach that Hillari was using would be the action that I would have taken. I would probably want to ask her questions because even though she may act weird she is also really interesting. -Deanna P. set 4
I wouldn't be mean but I wouldn't be her best friend. I mean I might talk to her a little bit or try to start some conversations with her. If she really was a nice person I would try to help her fit in maybe just a little bit more because she doesn't seem like she really knows how to fit in.

I would be a little skeptical. But not as much as Hilari. I don't know how you could call a person who is right in front of you a fake! That's just like you're seeing a ghost but everyone else is seeing a human. Bobby W. (5th Set)
If Stargirl came to my school I would not know what to think. She is totally different and takes everthing that is said to her as a comment. I would be accepting of her because everyone has their own way of life and I won't be the one to put someone down. I would try to befriend her in some way because I'm treated like her in a mild way. People think I am a little odd but they still accept me for who I am. Last year a new girl named Shannon came into our class. Most people avoided her because she was different but I became good friends with her. I would accept Stargirl and not put her down for showing her individuality.
If Stargirl came to my school I would accept her for who she is. Last year a new kid came to my class and was also a little different. After a while I finally got the guts to go actually say hi to him. After I met him I really wish I introdued myself myself towards the beginning of the year instead of the end of the year. Even though he wasn't my bestfriend I still was nice to him and acceepted him for who he was. Tommy R. set4
